  1. THE WORLD DIGITIZED:

  3.     What you have here is a copy of the "The World Digitized", in
  4. a format that is easy to unpack and view with a simple viewing
  5. utility called SWIVEL.  Therefore, the normal instructions for
  6. installing The World Digitized do not apply to this copy.  If you
  7. have not already done so, un-arc the WORLD.ARC file first by typing:
  8.   PKXARC WORLD.ARC
  9. (PKXARC is a shareware ARCing/de-ARCing program, and is required to
  10. extract this database.)  If you have a hard disk (with about 3 
  11. megabytes free), you may then run the batch file SWINST.BAT to 
  12. install SWIVEL and the data for The World Digitized.  The result 
  13. will be the same as if you had followed the original instructions 
  14. for installing and unpacking The World Digitized to create the ASCII 
  15. .MP1 version of the data files.
  16.     If you don't have a hard disk (or enough space free), you can
  17. modify SWINST.BAT or do the de-ARCing by hand.  SWINST.BAT assumes
  18. you have the program PKXARC in your path.
